Krell KBX 2-Way Crossover For Apogee Full Range Speakers - Rare, Lightly Serviced
General:
Incredibly rare and likely the only chance you'll have to pick one up.
Made by Krell specifically for the Apogee Full Range speaker system. It's a two-way crossover so I suspect you can use it on other speakers with similar specs.
Tested and working as it should all around in our lab.
*Please note this requires an external power supply or connection to the output of another compatible Krell preamp (neither are included with this listing).
SkyFi Technical Notes:
This crossover received a light in house service here at SkyFi. We removed and cleaned the level controls and cleaned the pins where the daughter board slots into the main PCB. After the service was completed we plotted the frequency response of both outputs.
The crossover point is approx. 400Hz with 6dB slopes which matches up to what is called out for 3rd party active crossovers in the Apogee Full Range manual.
This listing does NOT include an external power supply, but it's compatible with many Krell preamps with power supply passthrough connectors.
Cosmetic notes
Very nice shape overall, we were only able to identify a couple of light blemishes on the top cover and front panel KBX badge.
